I'm back.

Hey everyone... or no one at all. Based on the reports I get e-mailed to me there are still 1 or 2 of you that are keeping an eye on my blog every once in a while. I figured it was time to get back into blogging about poker.

I quickly cashed out after my last post in an effort to retain some of my money to pay bills since I had lost my job. I found a new job and I have been there ever since. About 2 weeks ago I started playing poker again. However I didn't deposit anything. I began by playing freerolls.

About 10 freerolls in, I had $0.40 to start playing some actual cash games on Full Tilt. That $0.40 quickly evaporated and so it was back to freerolls. Mind you, I was playing these in my spare time so it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to find the time to be on schedule with the freerolls. After another 10 or so I had enough money to play in some more cash games.

Luck has been with me. I was playing at the $0.01/$0.02 tables initially and managed to get my bankroll up to around $8. I decided yesterday to give the next highest tables a go with the minimum buy-in, which is $1. I pulled myself up to about $13.00(I don't know the exact amount. I didn't decide until today to actually start keeping track). This morning at about 9am I started playing in a cash game and I was hanging steady around $3.00 for about 2 hours. I hit a good run and turned my $3 into $22. My bankroll is currently up to $33.95 and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to stick with these $0.02/0.05 games for a while to see if this will continue. If I manage to hit $100 I'm going to consider moving up my game to the next highest stakes.

I'd love to hear some feedback from anyone who is still eyeballing my blog. Great to be back!

Fired from my job

Today I was fired from my job that I've been at for over 1 year.

I played a tourney for 5$ out of anger when I should have been playing for one. It turned out in my favor.

And here is a replay of the hand. Please let me know how you would have played it. I didn't really know what to do.

Green again

Starting Bankroll - $114.27

I played 2 tourneys today, losing both due to being outdrawn.

I joined a cash game with $1 and eventually pulled myself back in the green while waiting for my girlfriend to come over.

Short post today. Sleep sounds better than blogging at the moment.

$50 Milestone

Well, I finally turned $0.00 into $50.00. Barely. Unfortunately the next tournament I buy into will put me back below my milestone, however if I win I'll be cleared further.

I would make this post longer, but there isn't much to say. I hit $50 and my next goal is for $60.

Wish me luck

Starting Bankroll - $7.70

I'm off on my quest to turn $7.70 into something. I'm going to be playing strictly $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go's until further notice. I think I need to employ a rule of a max of 3 losses per day to enforce some bankroll management. I'm only playing 1 table at a time so I can pay attention to each player and consciously think before acting.

Game 1 - $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go Turbo

3 hands in I more than doubled up to 3100 with a set of Aces, AJo in hand.

About 15 minutes later I'm in the money in 1st, player 3 gets knocked out quite fast after that.

A small battle led up to this final hand:

I personally don't like this hand, but I noticed this guy min-raising every hand to steal the blinds, so I thought I'd wing it. It payed off.

The entire tournament lasted a mere 26 minutes and won me a profit of $3.25.

Bankroll - $10.95

Game 2 - $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go Turbo

Lost 1st hand when I went all-in with KAo and I was called with QTo.

Strike 1

Game 3 - $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go Turbo

My goal in this game is strictly to place in the money.

Alright, strike 2. Placed 6th. My KJs were beat by 57o. He called my all in pre-flop, then managed to hit a set on the river.

Game 4 - $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go Turbo

Place 3rd. This hand was in my opinion, a little tough. What would you have done?

At least with this, I can buy into 1 more game. If I lose this next one, I still made $0.05 for the day.

Game 5 - $1 + $0.25 Sit & Go Turbo

2nd and Final Hand

How much does that suck? The poker gods are hilarious.

Thats it for this session. I may play a little later tonight. Time to take a few hours away. I'm accepting donations if anyone wants to help. Fully refunded once I double the donation.

Poker players nightmare

Well this morning I jumped on like a total moron and decided to put my entire bankroll in a 9man cash game, and just rack up some FTPs. Well, a few hands in I had KK and on the board was KKAA9. Whats the worst that could happen? I pushed some guy all in, leaving me with only like 7$.

He called me.

He bitch slapped the shit out of me with his pocket aces.

Now I'm down to $7.70 and I don't know what I'll be able to do with it. I'm going to stick to 1$ sng's and with some luck I'll bring this bankroll back to life. Otherwise, It's freerolls for me, which are virtually impossible considering I can never get into one.

What not to do

Starting Bankroll for the day was up to 91$, I fucked up when I hit $99.75. I let the goal of 100$ screw up my game and before I knew it I was down to 57. I'm back up to $66 for the day and I need to climb back up.

Why did this happen? First of all, that accidental game, but other than that, poor bankroll management. I deserve a punch in the balls for this.

Considering I came back to the computer with a little over 60$, this will be chalked up as another win.

Ending Bankroll - $66.50

Back up a few bucks

After a few heads up SnG's I'm back up a little.

Ending Bankroll - $63.20
Game 1 - 9th lost 2.25

Game 2 - 4th lost 2.25

Game 3 - 1st $4.50

Game 4 - 1st $4.00

Game 5 - 1st $4.00

Game 6 - 1st $4.00

Game 7 - Cash game. Lost 5$

Game 8 - 2nd $0.00

Game 9 - 1st $4.00

Wow...

Game 10... Accidentally bought into a $33 + $1.5 game due to full tilts automatically sorting itself. Didn't realize it until I was in the game.

Needless to say, as fate would have it, I'm down to $57.30

I need to get away from the pc before I explode on someone.

Ending Bankroll - $57.30

Bonus time!

I hopped on for a few minutes before work this morning to snag the remaining points for my bonus. I also stole some blinds while I was out there, coming out $0.05 ahead plus the $5 bonus.

Ending Balance - $91.60

Heads Up!

Starting Bankroll - $80.00

Playing a few quick heads up $2.00 + $0.15 matches.

Game 1 - $4.00(1st Place)

Bumped me up to $81.85.

Game 2 - $0.00(2nd Place)

This was a $6 + $0.25 game.
Game 3 - $0.00(2nd Place)

Finally, a $11 + $0.50 game for shits n giggles.
Game 4 - $22.00(1st Place)

Game 4 was a mistake. Another spontaneous outburst, but I won it in 4 hands. It seems that in the 11$ heads ups they don't know what the hell they are doing. I'm not sure the guy knew what he I holding here, but I'd like some comments on how I played this main hand. I tried bluffing him out early, and donked the straight:

On top of that, decided to call it a night when I sat in a few cash hands just to earn the last 3 points needed for another 5$ bonus but I called it quits when I earned a few dollars from the lovely ladies and gents at the table instead. The 5$ bonus is a bonus for tomorrow.

Ending Bankroll - $86.55

I had a few games Sunday that I played while waiting for the GF to get ready for the day. I went down from $77, to roughly $70, then back up to $80 and some change... Another win for the day. Pennies add up.
