Played a few MTT's

I played in 3 $5 90 hand S'n'Gs. The first 2, I came in fairly low positions, 16, and then out of the money. The third however, I placed 1st. Boosting my bankroll up quite a bit.

I work overnights with the mentally challanged, and I found that if I sit in just the right spot, I get a very weak internet connection. Those are 10 hour shifts, 6 of which I can sit online playing poker! Hell yea!

I've been playing tight. At one point going over 100 hands without a single 'playable' hand. I'm beginning to wonder if playing that tight can possibly be profitable. Even when I played AKo it was a losing hand. Finally I had an AKo that paid off:

Good morning!

I decided to play a few hands before I went to bed(I work overnights).

I realized I was lower than I thought I was when I started this morning. I was actually at just around $28.

I played a few hands at a table, and ended up losing about $0.70 before I called that table quits and I decided to up the stakes. I noticed $0.01/02 tables are really really tight lately. I'm having some trouble weaseling even $0.20 out of these guys. I jumped up to $0.02/$0.05 to see how those tables were playing.

I made a killing. These guys are complete and total idiots. Here are a few of my main hands. I bought into the game with $5 and within 30 hands this is what happened.

About 20 hands in I was up to $7.92 by just picking at these tools. I was min raising with top pair queens and they called me all the way. Then came this hand:

That hand bumped me up to $9.77, nearly double what I came to the table with. I told myself I'd evacuate the table at $9 if things started to go south, or $10 if I could weasel that little bit out of them.

The next few hands were bland... I folded like 3 in a row. Then along comes this hand:

That hand put me up to $14.98. While posting this blog I left the table with $15.07.

Small downswing day

It was a crappy day bit I didn't really lose too much. I don't know the exact amount as I'm at work typing this on my phone, but I'm somewhere down around $32. I should have a few hours to post tomorrow.

Great day

It's been a great day for me for poker. Granted, I only made a little over $8 but at $0.01/$0.02 stakes I think it's a very profitable day. I didn't play any dumb hands and I stuck with my bankroll management and never played higher than my stakes. I never brought more than $0.40 to the table.

A few hours later...

I've been playing since my last update and it's been pretty positive. I played one $1.00(+$0.25)S'n'G, and placed third which earned me $1.80.

I played in a few long cash games and I'm currently up to $33.95. Looking to be a good day.

Been playing, not blogging.

I've been playing, mainly on the laptop in bed while the girlfriend watches tv. The laptop barely runs Full Tilt, so I didn't want to push that by attempting to run a browser too. I fell back a little bit down to about $22.00 but I built it back up to $28.11 so I'm not all that worried. It happens. I'm off to play some poker and I'll be posting back before long.

First good hand of the day.

However I'm still down a few dollars.

I'm currently at

Here is the first good hand of the day.

While prepping this blog, I had a few good hands I probably shouldn't have played but both payed off for me in the end. Here they are. The screenshots are different because I had to view the land hand for these.

Lets just pretend the layout didn't cut these pictures in half. I'm sure you all can click them to view the entire thing. I'm too lazy to fix it.

I hardly ever even play Sit N Go's anymore

I find myself playing more cash games these days. I used to do great at the tourneys so maybe I should try those out again.

Quick game.

I haven't had the chance to play much, but I'm up a small amount. I played a little this morning and manage to end up in the green with only a half hours worth of play.

Bankroll management mishap

So I opened up a few tables today with the bare minimum - $0.40. I hit a downswing and lost it at 3 different tables. I should have ate or something before I started playing because I made almost all stupid plays. Instead of walking away I upped the stakes to $0.05/$0.10 like a moron and didn't do so hot. In the course of 4 hours at the tables I nearly cut my BR in half. Sometimes I wish someone could hold my hand when I was about to buy into a game to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

2nd post of the day.

While waiting for my girlfriend to get back from work I played poker for a little bit as I watched some movies. I scored again, just not so big this time. I had a downswing of about $4, however I decided to hang in there and it payed off.

I need some way to chart my progress. Any suggestions?

I'm back.

Hey everyone... or no one at all. Based on the reports I get e-mailed to me there are still 1 or 2 of you that are keeping an eye on my blog every once in a while. I figured it was time to get back into blogging about poker.

I quickly cashed out after my last post in an effort to retain some of my money to pay bills since I had lost my job. I found a new job and I have been there ever since. About 2 weeks ago I started playing poker again. However I didn't deposit anything. I began by playing freerolls.

About 10 freerolls in, I had $0.40 to start playing some actual cash games on Full Tilt. That $0.40 quickly evaporated and so it was back to freerolls. Mind you, I was playing these in my spare time so it wasn't the easiest thing in the world to find the time to be on schedule with the freerolls. After another 10 or so I had enough money to play in some more cash games.

Luck has been with me. I was playing at the $0.01/$0.02 tables initially and managed to get my bankroll up to around $8. I decided yesterday to give the next highest tables a go with the minimum buy-in, which is $1. I pulled myself up to about $13.00(I don't know the exact amount. I didn't decide until today to actually start keeping track). This morning at about 9am I started playing in a cash game and I was hanging steady around $3.00 for about 2 hours. I hit a good run and turned my $3 into $22. My bankroll is currently up to $33.95 and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to stick with these $0.02/0.05 games for a while to see if this will continue. If I manage to hit $100 I'm going to consider moving up my game to the next highest stakes.

I'd love to hear some feedback from anyone who is still eyeballing my blog. Great to be back!
